Bio
Dené Shelton is a San Francisco based writer and painter. Her primary genre is
creative non-fiction, and she writes a monthly column called Femme Biker for Urban
Moto Magazine. Dené is currently focused on the completion of a book-length memoir,
tentatively entitled Taut. She also just completed a painting series working in circular
abstraction, focused on the concept of Illumination.
Dené rides a fabulous Honda Shadow motorcycle, which allows her to avoid public
transit at almost any and all costs. She likes cabs (but not cab drivers), hard wood
floors, claw foot tubs, and gardens. She loves to stay home, do creative things that
produce very little income, and ignore her phone. She plans to quit smoking very soon.
